The Covenant Church exists to glorify God through lives being changed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.
At the Covenant Church, we desire an incarnational model of ministry rather than an attractional model. Instead of ministering on the basis of people coming to us, we aim to take message and mercy of Christ to the people in our neighborhoods and networks. We are a spirit led family, on mission, making disciples. What does that mean? The church is not merely running aimlessly toward a nebulous future in the clouds with Jesus, nor are we only concerned with those inside our church walls on Sunday. We’ve all been made to join God on His mission in the everyday – to take His love, mercy, excellence, and truth everywhere we go. We are actually on mission for God where we live, work and play.
Scripture teaches that although our faith is personal, it is not private.
The Christian faith, by design, is to be lived out in relationship with other believers. In community, we are family because God is our Father. As children of God, the Gospel directs the rhythms of our lives, leading us to serve each other, challenge each other, and point each other to God’s mission.
The Gospel not only saves us, but also sustains us.
The Gospel is revealed through scripture. We believe that the Bible is completely accurate and true, void of any error. Both the church and our lives should be shaped not by experience or opinions, but by the truths found in the Word of God. Our lives are transformed when we hear, receive and live out the Gospel.
As believers, we are all called to be disciples and to make disciples.
We are on mission for God where we live, work and play. Our hope is for believers to be the incarnational representation of the love of Jesus as we serve others and share the Gospel. As we multiply disciples, we multiply community groups and eventually churches, both locally and globally.
